## Step 1: Calculate Your Pool Volume
The foundation of pump selection is knowing your pool's water volume in cubic meters (m³). For a rectangular pool:
Length (m) × Width (m) × Average Depth (m) = Volume (m³)
Example: A 10m × 5m pool with 1.5m average depth = 75 m³
## Step 2: Determine Required Flow Rate
All pool water should pass through the filter at least 3 times every 24 hours (residential) or every 8 hours (commercial/public pools). Divide by the hours your pump runs per day (typically 8–10 hours for residential).
