Оборудование для бассейнов для дистрибьюторов ЕС: Греция, Мальта и Румыния

Waterstar manufactures pool pumps, sand filters, LED lighting and fittings in Egypt and supplies distributors in Greece, Malta and Romania. Duty-free under the EU–Egypt Association Agreement with EUR.1; CE documentation per order.

What we manufacture and ship to the European Union

Waterstar is a swimming pool equipment manufacturer, not a pool contractor. Everything we supply into the European Union is produced at our own plant in Badr City Industrial Zone, east of Cairo, where we have built pool equipment since 1993 and from which we export to 14 countries. The range is a complete plant-room and pool-shell catalogue from one factory: self-priming circulation pumps in single-phase and three-phase versions, filament-wound sand filters from villa sizes up to 2000 mm, pre-assembled filtration units, 12 V underwater LED lighting with matching transformers and junction boxes, wide-mouth and standard skimmers, main drains, wall and floor inlets, ABS fittings and check valves, overflow gratings, stainless steel and plastic ladders, spa fittings and jets, and cleaning equipment.

Because every component is designed, moulded and assembled in-house, a distributor buys from one manufacturer rather than assembling a container from several trading sources — and the spare parts (seals, impellers, baskets, lids, multiport valves) come from the same production line as the units they belong to, years after the original shipment.

Specifying for the three markets

The three markets are different. Greece has one of Europe's largest pool stocks — Athens and Thessaloniki villas, and the hotel and villa pools of Crete, Rhodes, the Cyclades and the Ionian islands — mostly skimmer and overflow pools maintained by local pool companies, with a renovation market as large as new construction. Malta is small and dense: villa pools, hotel pools and a maintenance trade that works from one island, where a stocked distributor with spares is the whole supply chain. Romania is the growing market: new residential pools around Bucharest and Cluj, spa and aqua-park projects, and a continental climate with cold winters that puts winterising, covers and heating into every specification.

All three are 50 Hz, 230/400 V grids. Motors, transformers and lighting are specified as catalogued; the datasheet of each model states the exact ratings.

Customs duty, VAT and documents for the European Union

Under the EU–Egypt Association Agreement, industrial products originating in Egypt enter the European Union free of customs duty. The proof of origin is a EUR.1 movement certificate issued by the Egyptian authorities with the shipment, or an invoice declaration for consignments up to EUR 6,000, under the pan-Euro-Mediterranean rules of origin. Import VAT is charged at the rate of the member state of import — Greece 24 %, Malta 18 %, Romania 21 % since 1 August 2025 — and is recoverable by a VAT-registered importer in the normal way. CE marking is the EU requirement that matters for pool equipment: pumps and mains transformers fall under the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU and the machinery rules; 12 V underwater LED lights under the EMC and RoHS directives; filament-wound sand filters at 10 bar or less fall under Article 4(3) of the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU and carry no CE mark. For each EU order, the technical file and the EU declaration of conformity are prepared per product line before the goods ship, and the distributor receives them with the shipment.

Shipping and commercial terms

Shipments leave from the Egyptian Mediterranean or Red Sea ports as full containers (20' or 40') or as LCL groupage, to Piraeus (Greece), Marsaxlokk (Malta) or Constanța (Romania) — Piraeus is among the shortest sea legs in the programme. Quotations are ex-works Badr City or FOB Egyptian port, in US dollars, with the container plan worked out from the catalogue's packed volumes so a distributor's first order fills the box it pays for. We do not quote transit times on this page: they depend on the sailing and the port, and the forwarder's schedule at order time is the only honest figure.

The distributor position in the European Union

EU distributors buy from the large European brands and, increasingly, from Turkey and China. An Egyptian manufacturer offers them a third position: duty-free under the Association Agreement, a short Mediterranean leg from Piraeus, a full catalogue from one plant with spare parts from the same line, and a cost base that competes with Asia without the long transit and the quarterly forecasting it forces. Greek and Maltese pool companies have already been in touch with us in 2026; Romania is being opened. We sell through distributors only — no direct sales and no installation in the EU — and the programme is open to a stocking importer or pool company in any of the three countries, with territory discussed at the first conversation.

A first enquiry gets the range with wholesale terms so a container can be priced properly, sizing support from the engineers who designed the equipment, and datasheets for every line you intend to stock. We do not ask for an exclusive commitment before that conversation. Send the project types you serve and the categories you want to carry, and we come back with a costed proposal.
