Lane Rope Storage Rollers

LR-1 stainless steel lane roller in AISI 304: 1.3 m diameter, 1.2 m width, stores 25 m of lane rope. Protect competition swim lines with proper reeling and storage.

Why Lane Ropes Deserve Proper Storage

A competition swim line represents a real investment in floaters, wire and stainless hardware, and most of the damage it suffers happens out of the water. Lines dragged across rough deck tiles lose floaters, wires left coiled on the floor kink and take a permanent set, and tangled bundles cost staff long minutes at every rigging session. A dedicated lane roller removes all of these failure modes at once: the line is wound off the water in one smooth pass, stored under light, even tension, and paid back out without twists. Facilities that reel their lines routinely find that floaters stay intact, tensioning hardware stays aligned and the lines themselves reach a service life that loose storage never allows.

AISI 304 Stainless Construction for the Pool Hall

The LR-1 lane roller is fabricated by Waterstar in AISI 304 stainless steel, the same corrosion-resistant grade used across the factory's ladder and competition ranges. In a pool hall the roller lives permanently in humid, chlorine-laden air and is regularly splashed while lines are wound in dripping wet, conditions that quickly stain and weaken painted or plated frames. AISI 304 shrugs off this exposure, keeping welds sound and surfaces clean with nothing more than an occasional rinse. Built in Badr City under the ISO 9001 system that governs all Waterstar production, each LR-1 arrives as a rigid, stable trolley that one attendant can position along the pool end and operate alone.

Sized for 25 Metres of Lane Rope

With a drum diameter of 1.3 m and a width of 1.2 m, the LR-1 accepts a full 25 m lane line in a single winding, matching the length of a standard short-course pool lane. The generous diameter keeps the bending radius large, so the stainless wire at the core of the line is never forced into tight curls that would work-harden and weaken it. One roller can serve several lanes in rotation during teardown, and the wound line travels safely on the roller to its storage position between events. Pool operators planning a competition setup are invited to send lane count and line lengths to the Waterstar factory engineers, who will recommend the right number of rollers for the facility.
