All Waterstar pumps, sand filters, underwater LED lights, skimmers, main drains, inlets, overflow gratings and fittings are designed and produced at our own factory in Badr City, Cairo, Egypt. Injection moulding, filament winding, assembly and pressure testing are done in-house under an ISO 9001 quality system, which is why we can hold spare parts locally and ship faster than imported brands. Waterstar equipment is installed in 14 countries across the Middle East and Africa.

Size the pump from the pool volume and the required turnover time: residential pools are normally designed for one full turnover every 6–8 hours, commercial and hotel pools faster. Divide the pool volume (m³) by the turnover hours to get the flow rate (m³/h), then pick a pump whose curve delivers that flow at the total head of your pipework and filter. Waterstar SuperStar pumps cover residential duties from 0.75 HP to 3 HP in single- and three-phase versions, and HyperFlow pumps cover commercial pools. A top-mount filter has the multiport valve fitted on the lid; it is compact and economical and is the usual choice for residential pools (Waterstar top-mount filters run from 20" to 36" / Ø500–Ø900 mm). A side-mount filter has the valve on the side of the tank, so the lid can be opened to change media without disturbing the pipework; it is built for higher flows and is used on commercial, hotel and competition pools (Waterstar side-mount filters run from Ø1050 to Ø2000 mm). Both are filament-wound, corrosion-free and pressure-tested before dispatch.

Use graded silica sand only. Waterstar residential top-mount filters (Ø500–Ø900 mm / 20"–36") are charged with 0.4–0.8 mm silica sand and no gravel layer. From Ø1050 mm upwards (42" and all commercial side-mount filters) a 1–2 mm gravel support bed is laid first, then the 0.4–0.8 mm filtration sand. The exact charge in kilograms depends on the filter diameter and bed depth and is printed on each filter's data sheet in the Downloads section; our team will confirm the number of 25 kg bags for your model. Never use builder's sand or unwashed sand — it channels, clouds the water and can damage the laterals.

Waterstar nicheless underwater LED lights (18 W, 24 W and 36 W) run on 12–14 V AC low voltage and are supplied with a 3 m cable in warm-white or cool-white versions. They must be fed from a dedicated safety isolating transformer (available in our Transformers category) installed in a dry location and never connected directly to mains. Sizing rule: the transformer's VA rating should be at least the sum of the lamp wattages with a margin — our team will confirm the correct transformer for your number of lights and cable run.

Yes. Because we manufacture the full range — pumps, sand filters, multiport valves, underwater LED lights and transformers, skimmers, main drains, wall and floor inlets, vacuum points, overflow gratings, ladders, cleaning tools and water-treatment accessories — one order covers the whole pool. Use the Equipment Configurator to build a package by pool size, or send us the pool drawings and our engineering team will return a priced equipment list with pump and filter sizing. Contractors, hotels and competition facilities receive project pricing on request.

Yes. Every price shown on waterstarpools.com is the public retail rate in Egyptian pounds (EGP) and includes 14% VAT. Delivery is calculated separately at checkout from your governorate and area. Contractors, pool builders and dealers get their own price tier automatically after creating a free account and telling us about their projects — the tier applies to every product and every order, and international buyers receive quotations in USD.

At checkout you can choose cash on delivery (pay the courier when the order arrives), or secure card payment through Paymob (Visa / Mastercard / Meeza). Orders collected from the factory in Badr City can be paid on collection. Dealers and project customers can also pay by bank transfer against a proforma invoice — ask our sales team when you request a quotation.

Home delivery is available to every governorate in Egypt. Items in stock ship within 1–2 working days and normally arrive within 5–7 working days; made-to-order items (marked on the product page) ship in about 14 days. The delivery fee is calculated at checkout from your governorate and area, with a bulky-item surcharge for large filters and pumps. You can also collect free of charge from the Waterstar factory in Badr City, Cairo — choose "Pickup from Warehouse" at checkout and we will call you when the order is ready.

Open the Track Order page and enter your order number (it starts with WS and is in your confirmation e-mail) together with the e-mail address used at checkout. The page shows the order status, the items, the delivery address and the courier tracking number once the parcel has shipped. Registered customers can also see every order under My Orders in their account. If anything looks wrong, reply to the confirmation e-mail or call us on 02 2350 7070.

Waterstar pumps (SuperStar and HyperFlow), sand and cartridge filters, pool fittings, overflow gratings and transformers carry a 2-year parts warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Underwater LED lights carry 2 years on the lamp and 1 year on the LED driver. The warranty starts from the invoice date and requires professional installation, correct water chemistry and proof of purchase from Waterstar or an authorised distributor. Wear parts such as gaskets, O-rings, mechanical seals and filter media, and damage from freezing, flooding or wrong water balance, are not covered. Full terms are on the Warranties page.

Contact our support team through the website contact form, by e-mail to sales@waterstar.com.eg or by phone on 02 2350 7070, and give us the invoice or receipt showing the purchase date, the product model and serial number (if it has one), and a clear description of the fault with photos or a short video. Our technical team reviews the claim, and if the product is covered we repair or replace it. Registering your product on the Warranty Registration page right after purchase makes the process faster because your purchase details are already on file.

The Support page has the downloads library: product data sheets with pump and filter performance data, the full product catalogues, installation guides and the ISO 9001 and CE certificates. Every product page also links to its own data sheet. If you need a dimension, a performance curve or a CAD detail that is not published, write to our engineering team through the contact form and we will send it.

Yes — Waterstar equipment is exported to 14 countries, with dedicated programmes for Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Distributors get tiered pricing (Bronze to Platinum by volume), territory protection, co-branded marketing material and product training. To apply, open Become a Distributor and register a distributor account; our export team reviews the application and contacts you with the price list and terms. International orders are quoted in USD with LCL/FCL container planning and a proforma invoice, and can be prepared directly from your account through the international cart.

Waterstar operates an ISO 9001 certified quality management system at the Badr City factory and holds ISO 14001 (environment) and ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety) certification. Selected product lines carry CE certification for export to Europe and the Gulf. Every pump and filter is pressure-tested before dispatch.
