Waterstar moulds the platform from fibre-reinforced polyester with an anti-slip finish, giving the swimmer a rigid, non-flexing surface that grips wet feet through the crouch, the drive and the launch. The reinforced laminate resists the constant cycle of water, sun and chlorine that degrades lesser platforms, so the texture that protects the athlete on day one is still doing its job years later. Stainless Steel Anchoring Into the Deck

Beneath the platform, the SB-1-40 stands on a stainless steel base that fixes the block rigidly into the pool deck. The block is supplied ready for deck installation, and the Waterstar factory can advise contractors on setting out anchor positions before the surrounding deck finish is laid.

The SB-1-40 is a one-step starting block with a platform height of 40 cm, a format suited to schools, clubs, hotels and competition pools that need a serious start without a full raised-tower installation. The single step gives swimmers a quick, predictable mount between heats, keeping race sessions moving, while the 40 cm height delivers a clean dive angle for both training starts and timed events. Manufactured in the Waterstar plant in Badr City under ISO 9001 and exported across thirteen MENA markets, the block is proven in daily commercial use.
