Wall Inlets with Directional Flow Ball

ABS wall inlets made in Egypt: directional flow ball, 50 mm, 63 mm and 2 inch pipe versions, liner models with lock nut, flow rates of 5 and 7 m3/h.

The Return Line Ends Here

A wall inlet is the point where filtered water re-enters the pool, and its small directional flow ball does more work than its size suggests. By aiming each inlet, the installer creates a rotating current that pushes surface debris toward the skimmers, distributes chemicals evenly and eliminates dead zones where algae would otherwise settle. Waterstar moulds its wall inlets from ABS and from UV- and chemical-resistant plastic, so the eyeball keeps its adjustment after years of chlorinated water and Middle Eastern sun. As part of the wider embedded fittings family alongside floor inlets and vacuum points, every model is produced under ISO 9001 control at the Badr City factory and stocked for export across the MENA region.

Model Range: Threaded, Glue-In and Liner Bodies

The range answers every piping scenario on site. The WI-1 body carries a 2 inch outside thread, fits a 50 mm pipe and delivers a flow rate of 5 m3/h. Where the network is solvent-welded, the WI-2 glues directly inside a 2 inch pipe and the WI-3 inside a 63 mm pipe; both pass 7 m3/h, suiting larger circulation loops. Liner pools take their own bodies: the WI-1-L clamps the membrane with a lock nut and accepts a 50 mm or 1.5 inch weld pipe, while the WI-2-L version serves a 1.5 inch weld line. Matching the inlet to the existing pipe standard, imperial or metric, avoids buried adaptors inside the shell.

Placement Advice and a Factory Hydraulic Check

Standard practice positions wall inlets on the wall opposite the skimmers, spaced so their combined flow sweeps the whole surface, with the eyeballs angled slightly downward to reach the deeper layers. During commissioning, each ball is tuned until the pool shows one steady rotation rather than competing jets. The inlets work as a system with the rest of the Waterstar catalogue, from floor inlets in deep zones to the vacuum point that serves manual cleaning tools. Contractors are invited to send their pool dimensions and pipe layout to the Waterstar factory; the engineering team will confirm the number of inlets, select threaded or weld versions and issue a complete fittings schedule for the project.
