Flat Net or Deep Bag: Two Different Jobs

The two models split the work by depth. The LS-2 flat leaf skimmer presents a shallow net that glides just under the surface film, ideal for sweeping floating leaves, insects and dust lines quickly across a large water plane without pushing debris downward. The DLF-5 deep leaf skimmer instead carries a pocket-shaped bag designed to remove sunken dirt and debris; the operator scoops along the floor and the bag retains the load while water drains through the mesh. Pools under heavy planting benefit from keeping both on hand: the flat net for the daily surface pass, the deep bag for the morning after wind. Each net locks onto the standard 29 mm telescopic handle.

Small Tool, Long Service Life

Technique keeps a net alive: smooth strokes with the frame slightly angled let water escape while debris stays, and emptying the net well away from the pool prevents rescued leaves from blowing straight back in. A rinse in fresh water after each session stops chlorine from embrittling the mesh, and hanging the head to dry preserves the frame.
