Leaf Skimmer
Type: Flat
Available options
Product Code: LS-2
Category: Cleaning Equipment
Made in two types: deep bag and flat. Flat leaf skimmer net for removing floating debris from the pool surface — leaves, insects, pollen and blown dust — before it sinks and loads the filter. The shallow frame skims the top few centimetres with little drag, so a whole villa pool is cleared in a few passes, and the fine mesh holds small particles. Fits the 29 mm Waterstar telescopic handle with a push-clip. Skim daily in leaf season and before vacuuming; a clear surface also lets the skimmer and chlorinator work as designed.

Frequently asked questions
Which vacuum head should I use?
The flexible vacuum heads (FV-1-12 and FV-1-19, in 12 and 19 inch widths) follow the floor of tiled and painted pools; the oval head FV-1-L suits liner pools; the Hydro Vac HC-1 is a weighted head with brushes and multiple suction ports for fast cleaning of large floors. All fit the 29 mm end of the Waterstar telescopic handle with the same push-clip.
How do I choose the vacuum hose length?
Measure from the vacuum point or skimmer to the far corner of the pool and add a little slack: hoses come in 6, 12, 15 and 25 m. The spiral reinforcement stops the hose collapsing under suction and the swivel cuffs stop it twisting while you work.
Which telescopic handle length?
Choose the extended length that reaches the deepest point of the pool from the deck: TH-2-5 and TH-2-10 cover residential pools of the usual depths. The anodised aluminium tube resists chlorinated water and sun, and the twist-lock collar fixes the length wherever it is set.
How often should a pool be brushed and vacuumed?
Brush walls and floor weekly in season — the curved brushes CM-15 and CB-1-18 follow the wall-floor radius — and vacuum after brushing so the loosened dirt is removed rather than filtered slowly. Skim leaves daily with the DLF-5 or LS-2 leaf skimmer; it is faster than letting them sink and stain.
