Swimming Pool Equipment for the Saudi Arabian Market
Waterstar manufactures pool pumps, sand filters, LED lighting and fittings in Egypt and supplies distributors in Saudi Arabia. ISO 9001 and CE certified.
What we manufacture and ship to Saudi Arabia
Waterstar is a swimming pool equipment manufacturer, not a pool contractor. Everything we supply into Saudi Arabia is produced at our own 15,000 m² plant in Badr City Industrial Zone, east of Cairo, where we have been building pool equipment since 1998. The catalogue is a full technical range rather than a handful of lines: self-priming circulation pumps from 0.75 kW (1 HP) to 3 HP in single-phase 220V and three-phase 380V, filament-wound sand filters from 20 inches up to 2000 mm for hotel and competition-scale plant rooms, 12V underwater LED lighting in 12W, 18W and 24W, wide-mouth and standard skimmers, main drains, wall and floor inlets, ABS fittings and check valves, overflow gratings, stainless steel and plastic ladders, and the full set of cleaning tools — telescopic handles, vacuum hoses, brushes and leaf skimmers.
Because every component is designed, moulded and assembled in-house, a Saudi distributor buys from one manufacturer rather than assembling a container from several trading sources. That matters most for spare parts: seals, impellers, baskets, lids and multiport valves come from the same production line as the units they belong to, years after the original shipment.
Certification: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and CE
Waterstar operates a certified quality management system to ISO 9001, an environmental management system to ISO 14001, and an occupational health and safety management system to ISO 45001. Our products carry CE marking for European conformity. Those four are the certifications we hold, and we state them plainly rather than gesturing at anything broader.
Saudi import formalities are a separate matter from a manufacturer's ISO and CE status, and they sit with the importer of record. We will supply the technical file, test data, product datasheets and commercial documentation your customs broker or conformity agent asks for, so that the registration work on your side is done from real manufacturer data rather than reconstructed from a catalogue.
Our distributor position in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia is one of the thirteen countries in the MENA region where Waterstar equipment is already in service. We sell through distributors — companies that hold stock, carry spares and support their own installer base — and we do not sell direct to end users or take on installation work in the Kingdom. Our current authorised dealers, distributors and service centres are listed on the dealer directory, which is maintained from our own records; that page, not this one, is the accurate source for who represents us where.
We are actively expanding coverage. If your territory is not yet served, or you are a pool trade wholesaler evaluating a second supply line, the distributor programme is open: wholesale pricing tiers, marketing support, technical training for your staff, and priority access to new products.
What a distributor enquiry gets
A first enquiry gets three things. The product range with wholesale terms, so you can price a container properly. Technical support from the engineers who designed the equipment — pump duty points, filter area against turnover time, electrical requirements — which is the part that decides whether a specification survives site conditions. And full datasheets for every line you intend to stock, including the dimensional and hydraulic data your customers will ask for before they specify.
We do not ask for an exclusive commitment before that conversation. Send the project types you serve and the categories you want to carry, and we will come back with a costed proposal.
Spare parts: what a distributor actually has to live with
The recurring complaint we hear from Gulf distributors is not about price, it is about parts. A failed pump seal or a cracked skimmer basket sourced from the Far East can leave a pool out of service for weeks, and it is the distributor — not the original supplier — who takes the customer's anger. We build spare parts on the same lines and in the same factory as the equipment itself, so they are stocked alongside the units rather than sourced separately after the fact.
The parts catalogue is deep rather than token, and it covers the families that actually fail in service: pumps (seals, impellers, motor and body components), sand filters and filtration assemblies, skimmers and their baskets and lids, underwater lighting including LED assemblies, gaskets and O-rings, overflow gratings, cleaning equipment, and the wide range of ABS pool fittings. Parts are held for current production lines, so an installed base stays serviceable.
Operationally that changes three things for a Saudi distributor. End-customer downtime is measured in days rather than weeks. You carry less speculative dead stock, because replenishment is short enough to buy against real demand instead of guessing a season ahead. And you can build a service business on your installed base rather than only selling new units — which is usually the more durable half of a pool trade.
Shipping from Badr City: what the distance actually saves you
Our plant is in Egypt, which puts it a single short sea leg from the Kingdom's Red Sea ports rather than an ocean crossing away. A container leaving Badr City reaches Saudi Arabia in a fraction of the transit that Far East supply requires, and the shorter route is also the more predictable one: fewer transhipments, less exposure to a single congested hub, and far less working capital tied up in goods that are on the water.
The practical effect is on reorder cycles. A distributor sourcing from the Far East plans stock a quarter or more ahead and absorbs the forecasting error. Sourcing from Egypt, the replenishment window is short enough that you can restock against real demand — which is the difference between holding a season's inventory and holding a month's.
Talk to us
Send a distributor enquiry through the distributor application, or request a quotation for a specific equipment list if you already know what you need. Either route reaches the same export team, and both get a reply with pricing, lead time and the datasheets for the lines you asked about.
