What we manufacture and ship to the UAE
Waterstar manufactures swimming pool equipment in Egypt and exports it; we are not a pool contractor and we do not install in the Emirates. Production is entirely our own, at a 15,000 m² plant in Badr City Industrial Zone near Cairo that has been running since 1998. UAE buyers draw on the same full range we build for every market: self-priming circulation pumps from 0.75 kW (1 HP) to 3 HP in single-phase 220V and three-phase 380V, filament-wound sand filters from 20 inches to 2000 mm, 12V underwater LED lighting at 12W, 18W and 24W, wide-mouth and standard skimmers, main drains, wall and floor inlets, ABS fittings and check valves, overflow gratings, stainless steel and plastic ladders, and pool maintenance tooling including telescopic handles, vacuum hoses, brushes and leaf skimmers.
For a UAE trading company or FM contractor's procurement desk, the single-source point is the commercially useful one. One manufacturer means one set of technical documents, one warranty counterparty, and spare parts — seals, impellers, baskets, multiport valves — that still come off the line that made the original unit.
Certification: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and CE
Waterstar holds ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 14001 for environmental management and ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety, and our products carry the CE mark. That is the complete and exact list of what we hold. We will not claim anything beyond it, because a conformity claim that cannot be evidenced is what gets a shipment stopped at the port rather than cleared through it.
UAE import registration is the importer's responsibility and is separate from a manufacturer's ISO and CE status. What we contribute is the underlying documentation: technical files, test data, datasheets, and the commercial paperwork your clearing agent needs, supplied direct from the factory that made the goods.
Our distributor position in the UAE
The UAE is among the thirteen MENA countries where Waterstar equipment is in service. We work through distributors and dealers who hold stock and support their own installer and maintenance customers, rather than selling to end users. Our authorised dealers, distributors and service centres are published in the dealer directory, which is generated from our own records — that directory, rather than this page, is the accurate statement of who currently represents us in the Emirates.
Coverage is still expanding. What a distributor enquiry gets
Three deliverables, on the first exchange. The full product range with wholesale terms, so a container can be costed accurately. Direct technical support from our design engineers on pump duty points, filter area against turnover time, and electrical requirements — the specification work that determines whether the plant room performs as drawn. And complete datasheets for every line you plan to stock or tender, with the dimensional and hydraulic data consultants require.
No exclusivity commitment is required to start. Tell us the segments you serve — residential, hotel, community pool, competition — and the categories you want to carry, and you will get a costed proposal back.
Spare parts: what a distributor actually has to live with
For a UAE distributor the hardest part of a supply relationship is rarely the first container; it is the part that fails eighteen months later. A pump seal or a cracked skimmer basket sourced from the Far East can put a pool out of service for weeks, and the end customer holds the distributor responsible, not the factory on the other side of the ocean. We manufacture spare parts on the same lines as the equipment and stock them alongside it, rather than sourcing them separately once a failure is reported.
The parts range covers the families that fail in service: pumps (seals, impellers, motor and body components), sand filters and filtration assemblies, skimmers with their baskets and lids, underwater lighting including LED assemblies, gaskets and O-rings, overflow gratings, cleaning equipment, and a broad set of ABS pool fittings. Parts are maintained for current production lines, so equipment already installed stays serviceable.
The commercial consequence is straightforward. Downtime for your end customer is measured in days rather than weeks. You hold less speculative dead stock, because a short replenishment cycle lets you buy against demand you can see. And you can service an installed base — maintenance contracts, FM work, hotel refurbishment — instead of depending on new-unit sales alone.
Shipping from Badr City: lead time against Far East supply
Goods leave our plant in Egypt, not from across the Indian Ocean. That is a materially shorter sea route to the Emirates than Far East supply, with fewer transhipment points and less exposure to congestion at a single hub — and shorter transit is also more predictable transit, which for a procurement desk is worth as much as the days themselves.
It changes how much stock you have to carry. Far East sourcing forces a distributor to commit a quarter or more ahead and eat the forecasting error; a short route from Egypt lets you replenish against actual demand. Less capital sitting on the water, fewer stock-outs mid-season, and the ability to answer a project enquiry without quoting a fourteen-week lead time.
